Thinking back to any particular life event that I’ve ever experienced, it rings true that I remember them because a certain moment, maybe even a string of them, is able to trigger my memory.
It’s not the days that make us who we are. A “day” is merely a term given to describe a rotation of time. What’s more important are the moments within the days that affect us, shape us, and create us into who we are. I am who I am today because of moments passed.
So stop, slow down, take a deep breath, and savor each moment. They pass us by too quickly only to become distant memories.
