Yang Family | Burnaby Lake Family Lifestyle Session

Back in June, just exactly one week before I was due to be induced with daughter #2, this sweet family and a heavily pregnant me met up at Burnaby Lake for a family session. It was a gorgeous summer afternoon and despite being sick, little Emery was a trooper through it all! He barely even fussed and even flashed us with his cute toothy smile many times.

The mosquitoes in the trails there though…my gosh. Each and every time I’ve photographed at this location, I’ve been swarmed with mosquitoes. This time was no different. By the end of the next day, I counted a total of 21+ mosquito bites all over my legs, I kid you not. Let’s just say that my labor and delivery photos included legs that looked not so sexy, ha ha. When I think about being bitten so many times all at once, my skin still tingles. But it was totally worth it to get to spend some time with this family and document this season of their life for them. :)
