I woke up on Saturday morning to a world of fog. The world seemed mysterious and eerily quiet from my window, but I have to admit, I love fog. When you live in a busy city like Vancouver, sometimes it can be calming when you can only see meters ahead of you. Especially on walks, it’s like you’re in your own little world, but you’re not. I checked my phone several times to see if my booked couple’s session of the day had messaged, wanting to reschedule. Nothing.
By the time I got to Stanley Park, most of the fog had lifted. Then I learned that Robert and Kim actually thought the fog was cool and would’ve made for some nice portraits. I liked their open-mindedness.
Robert and Kim have been together for 4 years and last year, they got engaged. They’re in the process of planning for their 2014 summer wedding. I was delighted to learn that they have chosen the same August date as my own wedding this year. It’s a very good date, if I do say so myself ;) Robert claims that he’s never taken a serious photo with Kim before, but looking at these images, I think he’s pretty serious. Seriously in love, that is. Congratulations, you two! I feel honored to be a part of the start to your happy lifelong journey!
