I had been so busy the last time Vancouver had its bout of fogginess that even though I really wanted, I didn’t get the chance to get photos of Jemma in it. Imagine how excited I was when the fog returned on Saturday afternoon and I was free! I brought her to the neighborhood ravine and let her run wild.
For those who don’t know, Jemma is my 10 year old long coat Chihuahua. She is the apple of my eye and the reason I got into photography in the first place. She is, without a doubt, the perfect model because she spoils me by actually posing for the camera and looking right into my lens. Every time I ask for it. She also opened my eyes up to become the animal lover that I am today. Therefore, I think she’s a pretty big deal.
As a pet photographer, I face certain challenges when my practice model is only 5 lbs and sits merely inches above ground level. It’s much more difficult to photograph small dogs than big ones. With some of these photos, I hope to illustrate to you just how small she is. From afar, she can even look like a big squirrel!
Happy Monday, everyone!
Katie and GlogirlyWhat a cutie Jemma is!!!
